As of 4th July 2011, he has been ranked World No. 3 by the Association of Tennis Professionals. He has won 16 Grand Slam singles titles, only male player in history of tennis to have reached the title match of each Grand Slam tournament at least 5 times. Former and current players, sports analysts and tennis critics consider Roger Federer to be the greatest tennis player of all time.
Roger Federer has numerous records on his name; he has won the Olympic gold medal in doubles. He has won a record five ATP World Tour Finals and 17 ATP Masters Series tournaments. As a result of his successes in tennis, he was named the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year for a record four consecutive years. He is often referred to as The Federer Express or Fed Express, the Swiss Maestro or simply Maestro.
