Novak Djokovic is a Serbian professional tennis player who has been ranked World No. 1 by the Association of Tennis Professionals as he won five Grand Slam singles titles in 2008, Australian Open in 2011 and 2012, Wimbledon Championships in 2011 and US Open in 2011. By winning three Majors in 2011, Novak Djokovic became the sixth male player in the open era to win three Majors in a calendar year. He is the first male player representing Serbia to win a Major singles title.

Novak Djokovic has won the Bronze Medal at Olympic Games in 2008. His five Masters titles in 2011 are a season record. He is an all-court player with emphasis on aggressive baseline play. He is also known as one of the greatest movers on the court with superior agility, defensive ability and court coverage. He has won many awards for his game and out of which major awards are described here, BBC Overseas Sports Personality of the Year 2011, ITF World Champion in 2011, Golden Bagel Award in 2011, ATP Player of the Year 2011, Best Sportsman by Olympic Committee of Serbia in 2007 and 2010 and the Best Male Tennis Player in Serbia from 2006 to 2011. He is a member of the Champions of Peace club, a group of famous elite athletes committed to serving peace in the world through sport.
