Jonathan Trott

Ian Jonathan Leonard Trott is an England cricketer. He is a South African born and domestically plays for Warwickshire. Jonathan Trott is one of only two players with batting average of over 50.00 in both One Day International and Test cricket, and was an ECB cricketer of the year in 2011. He is a right handed batsman in middle order and occasional medium pace bowler. He has shown a good performance for his country in 2008-09, led to call up to senior England Test squad in August 2009 for the fifth Ashes Test. He scored a century in that Test, become the 18th England player to do so in Test debut.

Jonathan Trott was born in Cape Town to a South African family of English descent. He completed his education at Rondebosch Boys’ High School and Stellenbosch University. He has played for South Africa at U15 and U19 level. He was awarded as England Cricketer of the Year and ICC Cricketer of the Year 2011.
