Hashim Mahomed Amla is a cricketer of South African team. He is a right handed batsman and occasional medium pace bowler. Graduate from Durban High School, Hashim Amla made his debut for his provincial team and then soon became the captain of South Africa’s 2002 under-19 cricket world cup and lead his team to the final.
Hashim Amla is born to South African Muslim family; his grandparents are from Surat, Gujarat, having emigrated to South Africa years earlier. He is an elegant, stroke-filled player with the temperament to make the most of his talent, is the first South African of Indian descent to reach the national squad.
