Abraham Benjamin de Villiers: South African Cricketer
Abraham Benjamin de Villiers commonly known by his initials AB is a South African cricketer, have succeeded Graeme Smith in Test cricket and ODI after the Cricket World Cup of 2011. AB de Villiers became the second fastest and youngest South African cricketer to make 1000 test runs, in his test career he has batted, bowled and kept wicket as well. He is a brilliant sportsman excelled in golf, rugby and tennis as well. But, he has chosen cricket as a career. He made his test debut at 20 years of age in 2004 against England.
AB de Villiers is a right handed batsman, who has made many runs in very short period of time including centuries against teams like England, India, West Indies and Australia. He also holds the record for scoring most runs in Test Cricket without registering a duck. He is an occasional wicket keeper for South African team and is commonly regarded as one of the best fielders in International cricket. In 2009, he was nominated for ICC Cricketer of the year and ICC Test Player of the year as well. He is also a part of Indian Premier League. He has done schooling from Africans High School for Boys, a public school located in Pretoria. Being interested in music he plays guitar and sang songs as well.
