SpongeBob Squarepants – Adventures of Underwater Sponge

SpongeBob Squarepants is a famous American animated cartoon series developed by well-known animator as well as marine biologist Stephen Hillenburg. The entire story of this series revolves around its title character “SpongeBob” and his variety of friends who lives in underwater city called “Bikini Bottom”. This funny cartoon was renowned as Nickelodeon’s highest rated and long-running show that is well-responded by the viewers up till now.

The show is based on cartoon character SpongeBob Squarepants that was created by Hillenberg in 1984 during his study of marine biology at Ocean Institute in California. The entire story revolves around the amusing adventures of Sponge who believes in happy-go-lucky. He lives in underwater city named as Bikini Bottom with his friends Patrick Star, Sandy Cheeks, Squidward Tentacles and his boss Mr. Krabs.

SpongeBob is a highly energetic and optimistic sea-sponge who lives in a pineapple house under the sea with his pet-friend Gary, the snail who actually meows like cat. As we move down two houses down from SpongeBob there Patrick Star lives underneath of rock. SpongeBob and Patrick both are best friends of each other. However Patrick is a stupid and mindless guy but yet in spite of his mental setbacks SpongeBob considered him intelligent. SpongeBob’s subsequent neighbor and his co-worker at Krusty Krab restaurant Squidward Tentacles is an arrogant & ill-tempered squid guy who dislikes childish nature of his neighbors SpongeBob and Patrick.

Moreover, Sandy Cheeks from Texas is one of the close friends of SpongeBob who lives in underwater tree dome. She is black-belt in karate and often wears astronaut type suit as she can’t breathe inside the water. However this show also showcases two other cartoon characters named Eugene Krabs, a penny-pinching crab passionate with money and a tiny-green copepod Sheldon Plankton. He owns low-rated restaurant named Chum Bucket across the street from Krusty Krab.
