Scooby Doo is the cartoon character which is the leading character in animated television series called Scooby-Doo which is created by popular American animation company Hanna-Barbera. Scooby Doo is the pet and a companion of Shaggy. Scooby Doo is the Great Dane dog who is able to speak in broken English. Scooby Doo and Shaggy have many things in common, mostly being cowardly and continuously hungry. But their friends, which are other characters in the show named Velma, Daphne and Fred, encourage them to go behind the costumed villains.
Scooby Doo is an American media franchise based around several animated television series and related works produced from 1969 to present day. Some other characters were also introduced later when show has gained popularity, such as Scooby’s cousin Scooby-Dum and nephew Scrappy-Doo in addition to or instead of some of original characters. Scooby Doo series which were broadcasted earlier are A Pup Named Scooby-Doo from 1988 to 1991. What’s New, Scooby-Doo from 2002 to 2006, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo Get a Clue on Cartoon Network until 2008. The current Scooby-Doo series named Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated premiered on Cartoon Network in July 2010.
