Deepika Padukone is an Indian actress and a former model. Born to Badminton champion Prakash Padukone, she also was a very good badminton player. When in high school she played badminton tournaments at state level, but for a keen interest in modeling she didn’t pursued a career in badminton. She chooses to become an actress and left the career in sport.
Other than acting, Deepika Padukone is also the ambassador of high-flying brands such as Kingfisher Airlines, Nescafe, Tissot and Sony Cybershot. She has also appeared on the cover of lifestyle magazine Vogue for two consecutive years and has also walked the red carpet at film festival at Cannes in 2010.
